Balaska Marilyvia is an Interior Architect and Designer known for creating refined, timeless interiors with a strong sense of atmosphere and identity. As the Founder and Creative Director of 2AM STUDIO, her work combines contemporary minimalism with expressive details, rich materiality and an effortless sense of sophistication.
She studied Interior Architecture at the University of West Attica and later completed a Master’s degree in Reuse of Buildings and Complexes at the University of Thessaly, developing a deep appreciation for the relationship between architecture, history and contemporary living. This academic background continues to influence her approach, where spaces are designed not only to look beautiful, but to carry meaning, longevity and emotional depth.
After spending several years working in Athens across a wide range of residential, hospitality and commercial projects, Marilyvia chose to establish her own studio in Rhodes, bringing together a more personal and intentional vision of design. Through 2AM STUDIO, she creates interiors that feel elegant yet lived-in, minimal yet full of character — spaces that quietly balance restraint with warmth and artistic expression.
Her aesthetic is rooted in timelessness rather than trends. Influenced by Mediterranean architecture, contemporary art and classic European design principles, she believes that successful interiors should evoke emotion, elevate everyday rituals and age gracefully over time.
Today, 2AM STUDIO undertakes projects of various scales and typologies, approaching each one with a tailored and deeply contextual design process. With a focus on detail, composition and narrative, Marilyvia continues to shape interiors that are both internationally refined and distinctly personal.
Anastasis Markoulis is a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in construction, project execution and high-end residential development. As Co-Founder of 2AM STUDIO, he brings a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of the building process, contributing to projects with precision, practicality and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
He studied Civil Engineering in Patras and went on to work with several architectural practices, where he developed a multidisciplinary approach that combines technical expertise with architectural sensitivity. Over the years, he has gained substantial on-site experience through the management and supervision of complex construction projects, building a reputation for reliability, detail-oriented execution and structural excellence.
Alongside his role at 2AM STUDIO, Anastasis also leads his own development and construction company, specializing in the creation of high-quality villas designed and built with a strong focus on timeless architecture, premium construction standards and long-term value. His hands-on involvement throughout every stage of the process — from planning and structural coordination to final delivery — allows him to approach each project with both strategic insight and practical experience.
His philosophy is centered around the idea that exceptional spaces are the result of thoughtful engineering, disciplined execution and uncompromising attention to detail.
